Genealogía Pianística de Emilio Lluis-Puebla

Una característica del estudio pianístico es que la enseñanza va directamente del maestro al alumno, a través de la palabra, de ver y escuchar cómo lo hace el maestro, qué piensa, qué sabe y qué sonido produce. Es una educación uno-a-uno. No existen textos para aprender a tocar el piano. Una persona difícilmente puede ser autodidacta en esto. Me refiero a textos que enseñen a tocar los conciertos o sonatas de Brahms, Beethoven o Rachamninoff, o cualquier obra. Es una enseñanza que se transmite de una generación a otra y es una gran suerte si el que la transmite comunica la sabiduría de grandes pianistas y compositores.

Un día que fui a casa de mi maestra María Teresa Rodríguez, ví que tenía un cuadro colgado en la pared que contenía la genealogía de sus maestros. De manera que solamente completé la lista poniendo mi nombre al final. Después me puse a averiguar la genealogía de mis otros maestros y lo que sigue es lo que encontré comenzando por el de María Teresa Rodríguez. ¡Es una gran suerte que tenga yo esta genealogía pianística!

Pianistic Genealogy of Emilio Lluis-Puebla

A characteristic of the piano study is that the teaching goes directly from the teacher to the student, through the word, of seeing and listening to how the teacher does it, what he thinks, what he knows and what sound he produces. It is a one-to-one education. There are no texts to learn to play the piano. A person can hardly be self-taught in this. I am referring to texts that teach how to play the concertos or sonatas of Brahms, Beethoven or Rachamninoff, or any work. It is a teaching that is transmitted from one generation to another, and it is a great luck if the one who transmits it communicates the wisdom of great pianists and composers.

One day when I went to my teacher María Teresa Rodríguez's house, I saw that she had a picture hanging on the wall that contained the genealogy of her teachers. So, I just completed the list by putting my name at the end. Later I began to find out the genealogy of my other teachers and what follows is what I found starting with María Teresa Rodríguez. It is a great luck that I have this pianistic genealogy!
